Week 42: More Effort

This week I tried really hard to exercise more and I think I did an okay job. Unfortunately, I didn’t lose a single pound! I was upset at first when I looked down at the scale, I thought, I would at least loose maybe two. I didn’t eat fabulous but I did as best I could with what I had until payday. That’s one thing that really sucks about changing your lifestyle and eating better is the food that is good for you, seems to be more expensive. So, yes I was sad when I didn’t loose anything this week, I cried for a min, (literally) then I moved on. Spring will soon be here and I will be able to get outside more as it warms up. I did get a chance to take a walk this weekend. I think one day it got to 60 degrees. It felt good to get out and walk around town again.

Week 41: Getting Back to Work

January 11th, 2010
The new year is here and I think I’ve been able to get myself back on track. I lost three of the ten pounds I gained over the holidays, so that is a plus. I am also determined to surround myself with only positive supportive individuals. Unfortunately this means cutting out some people that I really care about, but I need to be selfish when it comes to my health. I think also that I need to reevaluate my portions because they might have been too much.

Week 40: Holiday Weight Gain

Well, all my laziness and eating added up to a ten pound weight gain! I knew it was probably going to happen. The big thing now is to pick myself up, extra poundage included, and get back on track, seriously this time!   I need to remember that I will go through things in my life and I will always have ups and downs with my diet and weight but to keep my eye on the end results.

Week 39: The Holidays

This week was filled with laziness and delicious not so healthy food. I started off with the mindset that I wouldn’t indulge in any of the holiday goodies but then I thought okay, the holidays only come once a year and I should be able to enjoy them even if that means eating horrible and being lazy for one week because it is not like I will continue to be that way. So, that’s exactly what I did. I ate, I slept and I lounged around with my family keeping in mind when the week was over there would be no more excuses and I was going to get my behind back on track.

Week 38: Let It Snow

December 22nd, 2009

This week was pretty good. I haven’t weighed myself yet so I’m not sure if I lost any additional weight. We had about a two foot snow fall this weekend. I did some shoveling and got a little bit of exercise in there with that. I did however stay with my parents and had limited choices of what to eat being snowed in and all and also, I just love to eat.
