Week 6: Happy Birthday to Me!

So this week was pretty good. I had a birthday and unfortunately I used that as an excuse to overeat for three days. Ugggh. But I’m not going to let that hold me down. Tomorrow is a brand new day with another chance to get it right. Also, the weather was really nice. I think I lost a pound, but that could be a give and take thing sometimes I think. Haha.

I got my iPod back from Apple so now I can enjoy my walks more. My friend made a picture of the “future me” after I’ve lost weight as his supportive contribution for me working out and even though it looks a little weird, it’s good to look at it as incentive.

Week 5: People Are Beginning to Notice

This week was way better than last week in more ways than one. Even though I didn’t lose any additional weight, I didn’t gain any back either. One day as I stepped outside to walk it started to sprinkle rain. I stood there for a moment, then grabbed my umbrella and away I went. I surprised myself at how I didn’t let the rain be an excuse to not walk.

Also, when the nice weather finally came this week I walked 1.5 miles around my neighborhood where I had never been before. It was really enjoyable to see different things, enjoy nature and at the same time get exercise. One thing I have started to notice is I need to focus more on my eating habits on the weekends.

My sister asked me this week if I was losing weight and that made me feel so good!

Week 4: Down Week, But Lost 4 Pounds

This week was a very difficult one for me. I had some personal things happen that kept me from focusing on my diet as much as I have been and even exercising seemed to be a challenge. I met my goal of walking three times this week for 30 minutes each time. I lost about four more pounds so that helped raise my spirits. I’m starting to feel my clothes fitting a bit different also. Back on track now!

Week 3: Cutting Back on Eating Out

One of my biggest challenges this week was to not eat out at all. I ate out once with a friend whom I hardly ever see so I think I did ok considering I used to eat almost every meal out. So, I say score! Not eating out and writing down what I eat in a diary has been really helpful. It really makes me realize what I am eating and helps me to plan my meals better now that I’m not going out all the time. Not to mention the money that I will save by making my own food.

As far as exercise goes, I’ve felt a bit under the weather this week but I still managed to get my workouts in as well as my walking. Honestly, at the time, I just didn’t want to exercise, but once I get started, I’m fine and feel so great after! I am also finding that I have way more energy just in my everyday life. Its awesome. I can’t wait to stat going out side for some workouts, that is once this weather decides what it’s gonna do.
