Week 10: Clothes Fitting Better

Finally the rain let up this week. I met up with an old friend and we walked three miles one evening. It was fun and good exercise, but I sure felt it for the next two days.  There were alot of hills and it did a number on my legs. Next time we’ll have to walk a little less. 

I didn’t get a chance to weigh myself this week so Im not sure if I lost any weight but I can definitely feel a big difference in my clothes. 

I’ve been going to alot of parties (cookouts, birthday parties) lately and I love to eat cook out food. For the past month, every weekend I’ve been struggling to not eat a lot at these gatherings and its been really hard. One day at a time though.

Week 9: Another 2 Pounds Gone!

Although the rain kept me from getting all of my outside walking in, this week was a pretty good one.  I did lose another 2 pounds which brings me close to 20 pounds so far! I never thought that I would look forward to exercising but now it’s something I am starting to enjoy.

Over the weekend I saw an old friend from high school and even though I was big then, I was really self conscious because I am bigger now than when I was in school. That gave me more motivation to work harder to get this weight off of me so that by the time we have our reunion I will be able to WOW them!

I’m hoping the rain stops this week so I can get outside more and not have to get sick again from walking in the rain.

Week 8: Back On the Losing Trail…Weight That Is!

Despite all the rain this week it turned out pretty good. I lost 4 pounds, which makes me happy after not losing any for two weeks. I started taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator and even though it makes me huff and puff when I get to the top it also makes me feel good afterward knowing I did it. I work on the top floor so its about six sets of 10 or 12 stairs.  I also did the stairs in the parking garage, and I’m on the 4th floor there and each time it seems to get a little bit easier.

I looked back on what I ate this week and I ate a lot of pasta. I don’t know how that happened but Im sure that’s not good so, that’s something I am going to try to cut down on.  I also started drinking water before I eat and it really makes a difference. I felt fuller faster and got my water in at the same time.

Even though I have a long ways to go,  this week I started seeing and feeling more definition in my leg muscles and it really boosted my motivation to keep on going.

Week 7: Rain Not Holding Me Back

This week I started some new exercises and soon we’ll be going outside which I’m looking forward to. I got all my walking in this week which was a bit of a challenge because of the weather being rain on, rain off, rain on, rain off.

I actually surprised myself and got up early Friday morning, when I coulda and wanted to sleep in, and went to the park to walk before I went to work at Apple Blossom, which I might add, was a bit of a challenge with all that yummy food around. But since I was working with a vendor, it wasn’t too bad.  I did however get a corndog, I had heard they are great, and they are indeed!

I didn’t lose anymore weight, YET that is.
