This week was a pretty good week. It was really hot and rained a lot and I didn’t get to walk as much has I have been, but I lost two more pounds. I never thought that I would or could lose this weight, but now that I see that my hard work is really paying off and it is so motivating.

Week 18: Pounds Keep Coming Off

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009This week I slipped a little in my eating and ate out two times. I don’t eat out hardly at all anymore, but for some reason I was just really craving some food that isn’t really healthy. With that said, I still had an ok week and lost three more pounds.
I found a great new way to exercise when Im visiting my family by push-mowing the grass. I didn’t do the whole yard, just the front, but 45 minutes of push-mowing grass was a great way to get exercise in and help my family out at the same time.
I found the town park in Strasburg over the weekend and a new, refreshing place to walk and hang out. They have a walking trail along the river. After walking the trail I waded in the river and it was really nice.
Week 16: Sister Support
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009My sister and I have been walking together once a week for the last couple of weeks and it’s really enjoyable. We haven’t been so close in the past, but this has given us the opportunity to talk and get exercise at the same time. We even have fun with it. There is a lady that walks the opposite direction but in the same subdivision as my sister and I. We laugh and make jokes and start power walking saying ” We gotta beat her, don’t let her get ahead of us, look back, where is she.” My sister has also been really encouraging with my weight loss. It just feels great that a simple walk has brought us closer.
Oh yeah, I lost another 2 lbs this week! That’s 29 lbs so far. Come on 30!!! =)
Week 15: Down In Weight, But Weekends Need Work
Tuesday, July 7th, 2009Well this week I finally bought my own set of scales. I’ve lost another 4lbs!
I did get all of my walking in this week, but for some reason it was extremely harder than usual to get going. I don’t know why, maybe I was just having one of those weeks? In any case I’m not gonna let it get me down because once I get going I’m good.
I’m still having alot of trouble with my weekend diet. It’s really hard for me because on the weekends I spend alot of my time with my family that has horrible eating habits and it’s so easy to just fall back into them. I don’t want to do that, but I don’t want to stop visiting my family. I’ve got to get it under control because I don’t want them to see me slip. I want them to see me be steady with my diet and hopefully it will be an inspiration to them.
