This week was filled with laziness and delicious not so healthy food. I started off with the mindset that I wouldn’t indulge in any of the holiday goodies but then I thought okay, the holidays only come once a year and I should be able to enjoy them even if that means eating horrible and being lazy for one week because it is not like I will continue to be that way. So, that’s exactly what I did. I ate, I slept and I lounged around with my family keeping in mind when the week was over there would be no more excuses and I was going to get my behind back on track.

Week 39: The Holidays

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009This week was pretty good. I haven’t weighed myself yet so I’m not sure if I lost any additional weight. We had about a two foot snow fall this weekend. I did some shoveling and got a little bit of exercise in there with that. I did however stay with my parents and had limited choices of what to eat being snowed in and all and also, I just love to eat.
Week 37: Losing Weight Again!
Tuesday, December 15th, 2009Finally!! I lost five pounds. I was really starting to think that I wasnt going to be able to lose anymore weight especially since I struggled a bit this week with eating. I think I’m addicted to chinese food. I love it.
I also got moving this week more than I have been in the last month or so. I took some short walks at work and did a few sets of stairs. I feel like I didn’t really do that much and lost five pounds. If I can work harder on my diet and get my heart pumping just a little more, than maybe, just maybe I will make the 300lb mark by 2010!
Week 36: A Little More Activity
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009This week I got moving more than I have been in a while. I took a couple of walks. But on the other side of that, when looking at what I ate, I seemed to have eaten a lot of pork, which I know probably isn’t good for me, and a lot of potatoes. I haven’t eaten that many potatoes in a long time. They are filling but they also seem to slow you down, especially if your not exercising.
This next week my goal is to walk at least 3 times and do my stairs at least two times. I NEED to lose some more weight!
Week 35: A Little More Motivated
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009Well, I managed to make it through Thanksgiving with out gaining any weight. I did however eat too much and I have to say, I enjoyed it. I walked some of it off so thats a little bit of a balance.
I’m starting to get motivated again which is a terrific thing since it had slowed down a bit in the last month or so. I’m still learning that I can sometimes eat things that aren’t necessarily good for me but just in moderation and controlled portions. It’s a daily process that I know will be worth it in the end if I just keep trying.
